Hi again

This month has been a mixed bag for me.
I took ages to get over my asthma after the Japan trip. I was out of the water for nearly 3 weeks which wasn’t a good thing for my training schedule.
My shoulder is improving with each physiotherapy session so it’s all looking good at last I guess.
I haven’t swum in any competitions at all since Japan due to my illness and injury, but I have been zooming all over the place with sponsorship commitments. I’ve flown to Sydney a couple of times. I’ve also been visiting some swimming clubs here in Brisbane and have been to a couple of dinners with my sponsors.
I’ve also been to a couple of 21st birthday parties. They’ve been heaps of fun. A lot of my friends are the same age as me and we all turn 21 this year. My 21st is one month away. I’m very excited about that.
Work has been keeping me busy as well. Since the new swimming season started there is heaps for me to do there. Plus the States are coming up quickly. They are in about 7 weeks time and I will have to get involved in the preparations for them at work as well.
My training is full on now. Ken has a 20 week training schedule set out for me and it involves all sorts of pain and agony. I can’t wait to experience all that :).
I went to the 3rd annual Pride of Australia Award Ceremony last Friday. I have been to it every year since it started as a presenter. It’s always great to go and hear what everyone has been doing in the community. I had a nice time as usual.
Next weekend I’m off to the Swimmer of the Year Awards. They are on in Sydney after the World Cup which will be on at Homebush. It is a great chance to catch up with everyone in a social capacity instead of everyone being stressed and having their mind on swimming at a competition somewhere – it should be a great night.
Apart from all the traveling and competition I really haven’t had much time to do anything exciting to tell you about this month so…
