Fuji Xerox Australia wins at 2010 ACCA awards for sustainability reporting

Wins in Best Report Consumer and Business Services sector and first runner up in Best Report overall category.

Australia, November 16, 2010 – Fuji Xerox Australia’s 2009 Sustainability Report has been announced as the winner in the Consumer and Business Services sector at the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants Australia and New Zealand 2009 awards for sustainability reporting. The company also received first runner up in the Best Report overall category.

The ACCA awards recognise companies for excellence in environmental, social and sustainability reporting and reward innovative attempts to communicate transparent corporate performance.

The judging criteria for the awards are based on completeness, credibility and communication. Over 100 reports were submitted for consideration from both Australia and New Zealand. Fuji Xerox Australia was commended for how it had identified its key ’material’ or most significant sustainability challenges. The company’s use of clear sustainability objectives and targets was seen as good practice and the presentation of the report in an online, engaging and easy to read format was also recognised.

The ACCA award win follows a slew of other environmental awards this year including winning the Sustainability category at the 2010 Australasian Reporting Awards and the Leading in Sustainability award at the 2010 Banksia Awards. Previously in 2007 Fuji Xerox Australia were recognised by ACCA for its 2007 Sustainability Report and disclosures in the area of supply chain and extended producer responsibility.
