Tasmania wins Fuji Xerox Australia Dealer Sustainability Award for second year in a row
6 April 2011
Fuji Xerox Australia has announced the winners of its Dealer Sustainability Program for 2010/11.
Sydney, Australia – The winners were announced at the annual Dealer Conference on March 30 th, and were recognised amongst 33 dealerships for their commitment to continuous improvement in various areas of environmental performance.
The award for the Best Overall Dealership for sustainability practices and achievements was awarded to the Fuji Xerox Business Centre in Tasmania, earning them the title for the second year in a row. The Fuji Xerox Business Centre in Townsville also took home the win for Best Sustainability Project for their second time in a row. The 2010/11 Most Improved Dealership was awarded to the Fuji Xerox Business Centre in Coffs Harbour, and Georgie Burns of Viatek in Orange, was named the program’s Best Sustainability Champion.
Now in its third year running, the program has evolved, making it mandatory for all authorised Fuji Xerox Australia dealerships to participate. This year, the program introduced three new award categories, as well as a new three level rating system to better determine the extent of dealership success.
Amanda Keogh, Sustainability Manager of Fuji Xerox Australia, said Tasmania was recognised as the overall winner for their outstanding and continued efforts in fulfilling all program requirements. “The completeness of their entry, fulfilment of the program requirements and outstanding progress in their sustainability efforts contributed to their win,” she said.
Since launching the program in 2008, Fuji Xerox Australia has remained committed to providing its dealer network with support to address the increasingly complex environmental expectations of their customers, and grow their environmental and sustainable business. The program provides a framework for its dealers to improve on areas of responsible disposal of end-of-life equipment, parts and cartridges, and to promote sustainability achievements with customers.
“The program actively encourages dealerships to look more closely at their sustainability practices to ensure they are environmentally sound and responsible. We have seen a great uptake by our dealer community this year, with high levels of dealer participation and completion,” Keogh concluded.
The 2010/11 Dealer Sustainability Program involved Fuji Xerox dealerships located in Adelaide, Albury, Alice Springs, Ballarat, Batemans Bay, Bendigo, Bunbury, Bundaberg, Cairns, Coffs Harbour, Geelong, Gladstone, Gold Coast, Fiji, Hervey Bay, Hobart, Mackay, Mildura, Newcastle, Orange, Parramatta, Port Macquarie, Rockhampton, Shepparton, Townsville, Tamworth, Wagga Wagga, Warragul and Wollongong.
