After celebrating my 18th birthday on the 23rd of May, it was time to head up the coast to Coolum for a club training camp.

We were joined by Sarah Ryan, who chose to train with us for a few weeks while the rest of her squad trained in Arizona. The camp was a success with myself, Jodie, Sarah, Tarnee White, Briody, Shannon (Coach) and his wife and 5 month old son living harmoniously together for 7 days.

We stayed at the best place. A huge mansion right on the beach owned by Jodie's aunt. We were accommodated for free and it gave me the chance to learn some cooking skills from the other girls as we had to cook dinner each night.

The training was hard, but good because we were training outdoors, something different for all of us, and at the end of the week we had all received quite a tan, even though it was in the shape of our togs on the back.

It was still good to get home and back to the comfort of no wind or rain at Chandler. It has been a good few weeks and with the Games only 60-something days away, everything is looking good and coming together nicely.

We have 2 Grand Prix swim meets in Brisbane with the whole Olympic team in early July – I'll update you on those later on.
