Fuji Xerox Australia Announces ne[x]twork 2011

10 August 2011

ne[x]twork 2011 – A series of visionary events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney exploring the workplace of tomorrow

Sydney, Australia – Fuji Xerox Australia today announced ne[x]twork 2011 – a series of events that will bring together world-class thought leaders to explore the workplace of tomorrow. With a vision to ‘transform tomorrow’s documents into knowledge’ by effectively integrating data, documents and business processes, Fuji Xerox Australia is holding three seminar events in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney from September onwards.

Keynote speakers include prominent futurists Thomas Frey , Executive Director of the DaVinci Institute (Google’s top rated futurist) and Mike Walsh , bestselling author of FUTURETAINMENT and CEO of innovation research lab Tomorrow. ne[x]twork will also will include interactive sessions with a dedicated focus on the IT, procurement and small business sectors, with hands-on demonstrations addressing practical issues relating to reducing operating costs and improving efficiency, as well as document security and compliance. More speakers and sessions are due to be announced prior to each event.

ne[x]twork will highlight how key innovations impact the current workplace and how to prepare for the future. The event will pose questions such as: ‘Will the office as we know it today become obsolete?’ ‘How will we interact with information?’ ‘What role will technology play in its new working world?’ ne[xt]work attendees will hear the views of different thought leaders and will explore the impact of these changes on organisations today.

According to Mike Walsh, “Offices will become a place for employee drop-ins and catch-ups.” “Changes in physical proximity and increasing mobile work will inevitably change organisational culture, to the point where offices will start to become places that facilitate interaction between staff. It’s encouraging to see that organisations such as Fuji Xerox Australia are recognising how the real and digital worlds are merging and innovating to prepare organisations of what is to come.”

Nick Kugenthiran, Managing Director, Fuji Xerox Australia believes that ne[x]twork will be setting a precedent in its industry for innovation and collaboration. “The insight into the workplace of the future will be invaluable for organisations that are serious about ongoing prosperity.” Kugenthiran added, “We encourage all organisations to take advantage of the opportunity to engage with a world-class line-up of thought leaders, some who believe that the workplace of the future will drive our destiny.”
