We believe a sustainable office document system will reduce environmental impact, maximise productivity, improve document accessibility, and lessen total cost of ownership whilst providing a flexible, reliable and responsive document platform for organisational needs. Our RTA case study demonstrates how we have delivered on that promise.

We fully support our customers’ drive to improve their environmental performance and to that end we have developed tools that can assess aspects of an organisation’s document system in environmental terms. Our ‘carbon calculator’ estimates energy consumed through the operation of an office document infrastructure and our ‘environmental scorecard’ allows organisations to evaluate their printing practices, procurement, recycling and equipment management. Both tools illustrate opportunities for improvement, helping organisations to identify where they can do better on their sustainability journey.

Fuji Xerox Australia has developed an online environmental scorecard that allows organisations to evaluate aspects of their office document systems in environmental terms. The scorecard assesses printing practices, procurement, recycling and equipment management and ranks these organisational behaviours on a green-amber-red scale. The interactive tool also suggests opportunities for improvement in line with good practice in those areas.
