Fuji Xerox Announces Winners of 10th Annual PIXI Awards 2017

Australian businesses showcase innovation with multiple wins across diverse categories

SYDNEY, January 31, 2018  –  Fuji Xerox Asia Pacific Pte Ltd announced the 45 winning entries of its PIXI (Printing Innovation with Xerox Imaging) Awards 2017. The 10th anniversary of this annual competition recognised innovation and excellence in digitally-printed work from users of Fuji Xerox solutions across the region – with entries from the countries and areas: Australia, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam.

Australian businesses once again demonstrated excellence across categories, taking home a total of seven awards, including three first place wins.

PIXI Awards 2017 attracted 236 entries in 26 categories, with the introduction of two new categories -the 5th Colour Award and the Digital Label and Packaging Award. In line with current digital-printing trends for image quality value-add, the 5th Colour Award evolved from the innovative use of 5th colour toner such as gold and silver. The Digital Label and Packaging Award category was introduced to recognise the remarkable work in this growing segment*1.

Four Australian businesses took home seven awards across a diverse range of categories. For Pronto Direct Pty Ltd, this included three awards for their work in the Brochures, Catalogues and 5th Colour Award categories.

“To be recognised across the region as a standout in three categories is incredibly exciting for our team and of course our customers. Receiving two first place and a second place award in the Fuji Xerox PIXI Awards has enabled us to showcase the type of output we’re now producing in an evolving market. This year, the 5th Colour Award category was added and we wanted to ensure we submitted a project that showcased the quality of work coming out of the Australian market for businesses around the country. For Pronto, our goal has been to produce bespoke products that showcase the capability of the solutions we’ve implemented and at this year’s PIXIs we’ve been acknowledged for exactly that,” said

Geoff Davey, General Manager, Pronto Direct.

“This year’s PIXI Awards have been a great opportunity for our Australian customers to showcase their commitment to innovation by presenting work that demonstrates how they have been pushing the boundaries in print. For Pronto Direct Pty Ltd to be awarded second place in the newly added 5th Colour Award simply proves how our partners are looking at the industry with innovative eyes. We’re thrilled with the seven wins and congratulate all the winners and participants at this year’s PIXI Awards,” said Steve Green, Executive General Manager – Sales, Fuji Xerox Australia.
