Fuji Xerox Australia's contribution has included traditional community engagement through volunteering, 100% matched workplace giving, fund raising activities, pro-bono support and financial contributions. In 14/15 we undertook a review of our community engagement which involved surveying our employees for their feedback and ideas, as well as engaging with our long standing partners and external consultants and peers to develop a clear strategy and plan for 15/16 and beyond.

While the review determined that the social issues we were helping to address and existing partnerships were valuable to maintain, we wanted to build a burning ambition that we could engage our people in and a long term strategy to go beyond traditional community investment. We still have much to do to:

  • Develop innovative, multi-stakeholder partnerships and solutions for greater community impact.
  • Tap into the best of Fuji Xerox Australia – our people, products, services and solutions to create shared value for society and our business.
  • Create opportunities for more of our people to get involved.
  • Identify avenues to engage likeminded customers, channel partners and suppliers to help positively address the social issues our company was committed to supporting.

At the end of the 15/16 year, the first year of working towards our 2020 burning ambition, we had supported the education of 3,500 children across 24 high needs communities. 1
