About the Australian Packaging Covenant

The Australian Packaging Covenant (APC) is a sustainable packaging initiative which aims to change the culture of business to design more sustainable packaging, increase recycling rates and reduce packaging litter. Currently almost 1,000 organisations are signatories to the APC. These signatories commit to developing an action plan which details how they will meet the Covenant’s goals. They then report their progress against these goals in an annual report, which is independently assessed. These annual reporting scores determine which signatories are recognised as award winners.
