Production Presses Meet Diversifying Finishing Needs of On-demand Printing
Versant 3100 Press and Versant 180 Press designed to boost profits and flexibility
Two new presses are launching, the Versant 3100 Press and the Versant 180 Press are launching for the production colour market, designed to offer end to end finishing capability and expanded new services in-house.
Cutting Edge Performance and Quality
Versant 3100 Press, is designed to make the work of print professionals effortless, accurate and efficient:
- Capable of printing at 100*1 ppm productivity
- 2,400 dpi fine resolution
- Extensive paper handling capability ranging from 52 to 350g/m2
- Automatic image control with the in-line sensor also reduces operational load
The Versant 180 Press, delivers a print productivity of 80*2 ppm, 2,400 dpi fine resolution, and extensive paper handling capability ranging from 52 to 350g/m2.
Both presses combine the newly developed optional Finisher D6 to meet finishing needs in both variety as well as quality. The compact size easily fits into limited spaces and offers a comprehensive range of features including stacking, stapling, cover page insertion and paper folding amongst others allowing print professionals to offer a full range of services, all under one roof.
Professional quality in creating automatic saddle stitched booklets
With the addition of the Finisher D6 with Booklet Maker, Crease/Two-sided Trimmer D1 and SquareFold Trimmer D1 to the presses, the process of creating high quality booklets is simplified through increased automation. With fewer touch points and less intervention, the conventional method of manually setting up margins and placing images is no longer an issue.
Controllers with rich functionalities that enhance users experience
The GX Print Server, first introduced to the Versant series in 2015, is now equipped with the latest RIP*3 technology APPE3.9*4, its finer gradation can be printed as well as providing improved operability; accelerating the print on demand procedure through improved image quality and operational efficiency.
“Building on the success of the Versant platform, these presses are engineered to provide ‘whole of job' capability and greater efficiency when it comes to varied finishing needs of print providers,” said Mark Brown, Production Technology, Manager, Fuji Xerox Australia. “The new presses are a total print solution that include simple affordable in-line finishing and all in one booklet making to automate processes, reduce costs, and ultimately streamline operator workflows.
By combining best in class hardware technology, software and our extensive support services, we making it easier than ever for the production market to further expand their business and explore expanded opportunities in this finishing space.”
Mackay based Payne Print is the first business in Australia to install the Versant 180 Press and has seen firsthand the impact on quicker set up and turnaround times and less wastage. The press allows Payne Print to dramatically cut down complex print runs from days to a matter of hours, delivering the same quality without a complicated set up process and any wastage.
